Maybe going to the movies isn't frugal, but how about for the price of a single ticket you get to see a movie everyday of the month?

I was 2 days late to the announcement of MoviePass offering unlimited* movies for $10/mo(per person). So I just signed up for it yesterday.

So basically, you pay $10/mo for the service. They send you a Master card within 5-7 business days. Once you receive your card you can activate your service (this is when your account starts).

Now, let's say you want to go to a 7pm showing of the Emoji movie at your local theater. Simple drive to the theater, and once your there you can pull up the showtime on the app and select "check in", MoviePass will then authorize the purchase of the ticket on the master card they sent you and you have(I believe) 30mins to purchase the tickets, which you can at the kiosk or the counter.

You can see a movie everyday (24hrs from last show time), but cannot see same movie twice(heard this may get lifted), and cannot be used for 3D, Imax, ect. Now you can only "check in" when you are within 100yds of the theater you wish to get a ticket from. So that means if you want to go to say star wars on opening night, you will need to get there when they open and purchase your ticket for whatever time you want.

You can see which movie theaters in your area except MoviePass at:
