I'm a 22F traveling to Denver from KC to catch a flight from DEN to Europe around Christmas. The cost is ~$150 via Greyhound and ~$229 via Amtrak. I could take also take a flight which is about $133, but I have bad luck with delays on domestic flights and I'll be bringing one checked item and a carryon with me and don't want to pay the $70+ domestic luggage fees. I hear contradictory things about the safety and reliability of Greyhound buses and I'm tempted to shell out extra money for the train or plane. What do you guys suggest?
