I am the owner of a houseboat, and yesterday I had a gentleman call me from Colorado (the boat is located in Florida) and asked me about wanting to purchase my boat. At first I thought he was messing with me because who buys a boat unseen? He saw my ad on craiglist and wanted to buy my boat and pay three months non liveaboard dock rent (my houseboat comes with a slip.) I agreed and I gave him the pricing six thousand for the boat (asking price, he didn't haggle me) and one thousand three hundred and seventy two dollars for three months of dock rent. He agreed to the pricing and we decided PayPal was the safest bet to send the money. He chose buyer and seller to send the money with me covering the fees ( I offered) and I would send him the title and proof of paying the three months rent and a bill of sale with as in no warranty on it. He did send the money and its sitting in my paypal balance. My question is, can this go wrong? If so, how can I protect myself from losing my title if it does?

I want to add that I don't think he's going to screw me over, he was very open with all of his information, very polite and I didn't get any negative vibes from him, but you can never be careful enough.
