So im in a position where because of medical reasons, or because helping family, I haven't been able to really save money. However, place we are renting from is looking to sell the house, so need to move.
This could be my chance to finally get out on my own (which I really want). However, because of the above situations, I haven't been able to actually save money. So I can't actually afford closing costs/down payment to buy a home.
My car will finally be paid off next month, which opens me up to an extra 350 a month.
So really, two choice. Either stay with my parents and help them buy a house (which will force me to stay at home much longer than I want..and also still prevent me from saving money) or rent. renting seems about twice as expensive as a mortgage, which basically around here, means I can save roughly 100 a month on pretty much the cheapest place, which is still years before ill save enough to buy my own home.
Is there anything out there, loan wise or such which can help someone like me in this situation? Buying seems the much better option, I just wont be able to afford a downpayment for many years to come.
