After having to buy a new car last month my finances have suffered. Tried cutting back on reoccurring charges on my debit that I didn't "need" but there really wasn't much to cut. I'm in training so supplements and food requirements are a must. Did a crud ton of research and tried about 100 apps in order to save money on things I've been buying every month. After testing I've saved over $50 (not counting survey points I haven't redeemed yet).

I'll list some of what I've been using to help those who want to know how I've managed to save $50+. Here's a list of the ways I managed to save:

  • iBotta (app/rebates - $40+ just on this alone, half referral/half rebates)
  • Walmart Pickup (save $10 first time)
  • Gas Cards (CC but pay in full every month - I picked Walmart/Exxon(with Plenti Rewards) - Walmart being the most saved - another good option is to use CardBear and get gas cards at 4-5%+ off, no less than 4%)
  • Anything else with cash back value through iBotta and other portals have helped as well. Most offer free shipping after you spend a certain amount (in my case I purchased 6-40oz Jif Peanut Butter for $18 with free shipping)
