I know this isn't exactly the place for this put I thought some people might have some good ideas. I recently have found myself in charge of a non-profit. We do good works through a few employees with our money.
It used to be a well running charity that got core funding but now it doesn't and those reasons are political and beyond my control.
But now I have a day to day operation where people are underpaid in their jobs and we're bleeding money.
I'm trying a few things like grant writing, talking to partners, having new money generators, doing planned giving, etc.
But I'm also dealing with employees looking for raises, bonuses, and used to a culture of overspending.
Any tips? I know this is extremely broad and general but I feel like anything would help.
