Price isn't a major factor. Though I'd love to keep it under $400.
I work in a noisy office. They gave us some cheap, bulky over-the-ear cans (Logitech G430). They do zilch for noise canceling. And I'm tired of lugging them around. Because we don't have our own work stations. So I have to take them home every night.
I have a Plantronics Savi 740 on-the-ear, with a hot-swappable battery. As I work 10 hours a day, that's been fantastic for the last 8 years.
But, since I don't have my own workspace, I need to get something more compact. I really want to get another like the 740, due to how light it is, and the swappable battery. As long as charge times are fast enough, I can do without that though.
I've looked into getting the Plantronics 5200, or the (older) Savi 400. I'm just not sure on the sound of either one. And the 5200 having different ear gels than the 400/700, I dunno if I'll like those as much.
I'm open to other brands. As long as it fits the price point, has some kind of case for easy storage, sounds good, has good noise canceling. Optionally, i'd love to have a swappable battery. And I need it to be the headset not headphone style. I like to listen to music while on calls (AirPods). So that would work out really well.
I've contemplated getting the bose qc35 even, but I keep seeing how the mic is terrible, and I need a decent one for my work. I feel like the Airpod would sit nicely under that.
