Not sure if this the best sub for me, but figured I would start here. For some background, I am a 17 year old starting my senior year of high school and am currently applying for college. Further, both of my parents are deceased (my father died in 2009 and my mother passed in 2017). I am have been living with my maternal grandmother since 2007. Further, I have not been adopted but she is my legal guardian, with my paternal grandfather also having partial custody. With regard to my studies I am very interested in science/medicine and my ultimate goal upon completing my undergraduate degree is to pursue postgraduate training as either a physician assistant (PA) or physician (MD or DO).
Sorry for the somewhat vague post, but I’m just a bit overwhelmed with all of the information regarding both the FAFSA application and other potential grants/scholarships that are potentially available for individuals with my unique set of circumstances. Any help/advice etc would be really appreciated!
