My goal is to have a boat centerpiece for our tables at our wedding. I'm struggling with the material and how to go about making it. I've never done basket weaving, and Hobby Lobby and Micheal's did not have those supplies. (I'm not confident buying everything in one go online if I end up being crappy at it.) I'm talented in clay, but I have no access to a kiln. Paper-mache seems possible, but it's very messy and we're in a rented apartment with very little "craft" room. I purchased a book on paper-mache clay which seems interesting, and is my plan B, but I'm not sure how it will go - there's a lot of ingredients I have to purchase.Desired Specs:-Quantity 5 or 6-About a foot long, 5 inches deep, 5 inches wide-Not functional/buoyant but buoyancy would be kinda cool if that was feasible.-Not long-lasting for the centerpiece ones. Although my fiance would like to create one himself that serves as a long-lasting memory from the event (something larger for the sweetheart table).-Appearance would need to be something close to the boat from Tangled. It looks almost like a gondola, but more fairy-tale-y (of course).Any help with material and construction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2w8ecN8
