Last Thursday I was stopped at a stop sign on my way to a service call when suddenly rear ended, hard. The man made no attempt to stop because his nose was buried in his phone and was going anywhere between 40-50 mph. I ended up taking the ambulance to the hospital because the impact caused sharp pain in my lower back. I quickly hired an attorney because I've always been advised to do so. Friday came and went with expected pain and discomfort. Then on Saturday I woke up and both arms were so numb that I couldn't move them for approx 60 seconds. I went to the hospital later in the day because I was concerned there might be something seriously wrong...I've never been involved in a lawsuit so I am new to this. I am currently going to chiro, appointed by attorney, twice a week until pain dissipates. Does anyone have any idea what I might be looking at as a final result of this? And if I do come across a substantial amount of money, what's the smartest choice I can make concerning the management of such settlement? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Mind you, this was a company van that hit me and I believe in my state they are required to carry million dollar injury coverage. Also, the man was ticketed by the police making him 100% liable. Thanks to all
