I wanted a portable swing set to be used indoors for /r/shibari purposes, that could be broken down and moved. Mostly so it could be stored in a closet when not in use as opposed to being a permanent structure in my living room.Sex swings on Amazon looked a little unstable, so I wanted to go the traditional swing set route and instead use wood and an A frame bracket from a jungle gym supplier. In addition to easing my fears, this gives me the option of mounting eye bolts wherever I please rather than being forced to use predefined positions.I have a few questions:The bracket comes with lag bolts, but since I'll be breaking this down regularly, would it be better to:Tap the beams with threaded inserts to accept machine screws?Or can I get away with just drilling a hole to accept a hex bolt and nut?SPECSIncluded in PurchaseCountDetailBracket2Powder coated welded steel \ 14 holes to accept screwsLag bolts285/16" x 3" zinc-coated steelWashers28~ zinc-coated steelBeam TypeDimensional LumberTrue MeasurementTop Beam4" x 6"3-1/2" x 5-1/2"Support Legs4" x 4"3-1/2" x 3-1/2"Bracket openingMeasurementTop Beam3-5/8" x 5-5/8"Support Legs3-5/8" x 3-5/8"SourcesPhoto of Bracket with approximate anglesPhoto of all equipment included in an order, Bracket and hardwareProduct LinkArchived Product Link for posterity via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2vHSONH
