I have clinical depression and generalized anxiety disorder. I have a therapist and psychiatrist, and am medicated. For the most part, I am doing well. But the bills are hard to stay on top of, and when I'm not doing well, I can't work, and then bills get even more difficult to pay off. I have credit card debt because of the times I couldn't work. I'm doing my best to pay it off but it's going to take time.

I am self-employed and have health insurance but it doesn't cover my doctors or medications. It's Kaiser so I have to go to their pharmacy. Besides my brain, I am in awesome health and rarely get sick. I should change to a cheaper insurance, so if anyone has recommendations, please let me know.

The point of posting here is to ask if anyone knows of any programs or groups or anything at all that could be of help. I live with roommates to keep rent manageable, don't have a car (I use my roommate's), I coupon like crazy to keep my food bill down, I feel like I'm pretty money savvy, but I can't get ahead of my medical bills. I'm currently in a depressive episode and feeling pretty low about it but want to be proactive. Any advice or suggestions would be a huge help because I'm out of ideas. What can I do, or who can I talk to, to help my bills be more manageable?
