So just got home and saw a note on my door. This is what it read:

"Mr *********,

During our recent audit we have noticed that we do not have an application on file for you. During the transition period, many documents did not transfer. I have attached a paper application to this notice. Please date it for February 11 2015, which is your move in date. Thank you for assisting us in this matter.

******** Management team"

To me this seems like they don't have anything but a lease on file for me. Is this something i should really do or should i be worried about this?

A little more of a backstory on this..Over the last 2 years the apartment complex has been bought by at least 2 real estate company's. This is the first time we have had any request for any documentation.

Edit: I'll be taking it down tomorrow to the office manager and see if they can explain to me why it is needed since they already have all the info that is on the application in my lease. Will update tomorrow for anyone curious of the outcome. Thanks everyone that responded.
