Its called OhmConnect and it helped me reduce my electric bill, as well as earned me a bit of cash.
Basically when energy use is high, your energy company needs to use energy from other companies that use dirty energy (such as fracking). If you save during these times your electric company will reward you through OhmConnect. It saves them money in the long run.
