Background: I landed my first real job as a software developer 3 years ago. I told myself, "once I get into my career, I'm going to start putting money away and learning what to invest in". Fast forward 3 years later and, although I've had a ton of fun living it up, I haven't made many moves, and still lack a lot of financial knowledge.
So I'm just looking for some extra motivation and perspective. What are some things I've missed out on by not having started earlier? (examples don't need to be home runs, even perspective of what a mutual fund would've yielded is interesting to me)
Thanks for your time! Also looking for some book recs that might not be recommended in the side panel.
