Hi! I'm 20, currently a junior in college, and it has always been my plan to move out once I graduate (or at the very latest, a year afterwards). In order to be as prepared as possible, I'm drafting a plan now.

I'm looking for a part time now. (And thankfully, I live at home where I live rent-free and pretty much everything is paid for me.) Just two problems:

1) I have no work or volunteer experience. I need a good job that can get me regular money fast. Would waitressing be a good step? On campus jobs are pretty limited, too.

2) My full-time college schedule sucks ass due to my rigorous major (5 days a week, long days), so the max I could work is 3-4 days a week (even that's stretching it). Considering the hours I'd likely take, with an expected minimum wage pay, I'd come out with a little over 10,000 dollars at the end of two years (assuming if I saved every penny). Would that be enough?

Secondly, I need a car, and I would need to save enough to buy a used car, and pay for all the things a car needs (insurance, gas, maintenance, etc.) To be honest, I feel like I'm stuck - I feel like I couldn't save up enough for moving out expenses, a car, and everything else I would need just to move out.

What else do I need to save up for? How do I make a budget?

Any help is majorly appreciated. I just wanted to start planning this far in advance so I don't look totally stupid when it's time to move out.
