I'm fresh from shopping for a specific type of used car. One situation I ran into is a form of "bait and switch", where a car would be listed for a certain price on the internet only to show up and be faced with some unusual additional fees (such as "preparation fee" or "marketing fees"). Standard fees that are not unusual would be $400-$500 in license and doc fees along with the sales tax % of the area you live (if applicable). I would strongly recommend calling the dealer and asking, "Are there any additional fees to the price besides tax (if applicable) and doc/license fees?"
In addition to unusual fees, I also ran into problem when a vehicle was designated as "Certified Used". This means the dealer has supposedly done an extensive check on the vehicle, allowing you an additional warranty (and sometimes the dealer would have lower financing special for "Certified Used" cars). One questionable dealer would set up the listing so the vehicle would show up on every car website (CarGurus, Cars.com, Autotrader etc.) as a "Certified" vehicle. It is only by reading the fine print that you realize the vehicle is "eligible" to be Certified at an additional cost (in my case, $2200 more).
Hope this helps.
