I think that this could have a wide effect on how the economy works. I want to know how it could affect my local investment plans and IRA investment plans
Will it hurt Reits, Banking, HI retailers? Will there be a big influx of properties from people who bought investment homes at next to nothing down banking on rental income? Will it spur even more large scale investments in dense real estate, or transition again more to rural? Will home sizes start to shrink, reducing hard consumption (land/wood/energy) and increase service consumption (food, drinks, recreation)?
My guess is long term, cities will still win. Cities should be economically more efficient with tax dollars than expensive, tax inefficient suburbs. What are people's thoughts?
