I have a dryer that has to be flush fit in the rear in order to fit in my laundry area. The vent in the wall is a couple inches too high, however, so I'm trying to figure out a solution.Pics of the situation: http://ift.tt/2wcjsiq bought a dryer vent box to use the space between the studs in the wall so I could run the flexible pipe from the dryer to the rigid vent, but when I tried to install it I realized I have PVC vent pipe, not metal. The instructions call for crimping the metal to fit the oblong opening, but now I'm stumped as to what to do since I can't fit round PVC into an oblong hole. Can I cut the PVC above the bend and attach metal piping to that to make it fit? Is there another solution I'm not thinking of? Somehow I have to get this dryer to fit! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2u5Sxn4
