As the title states, I'm in the process of refinishing a dresser for a nursery and have run into a problem.So far I've attempted to scrape away the white paint. After getting of a layer of the white paint, I found there were also layers of green and yellow paint. Beneath that it appears there is some type of lacquer or varnish.My problem is I don't know what would be best to get the remaining stuff off. What would work the best? Do I need to be careful in what I use since it will be around a baby?The dresser will be painted once this is all done. (I should have just painted over the old stuff.
