Ovamba is a system to invest in Africa, by lending capital (=products and materials) to small and medium enterprises. The website makes it seem very promising (15% returns) and I guess in the developing markets big gains are reasonable. Instead of directly handing out money to businesses, Ovamba buys materials for them. If they don't pay, Ovamba can just sell back the materials, which serves as a nice risk minimizer.

I'd love to try it. However, when registering for the mobile app, it asks for company information. I don't have a business of my own, so I couldn't register. I asked them whether investing without a company is possible through their customer service, but I haven't received any reply.

So, has anyone managed to invest through Ovamba and if yes, what has been your experience?
