This is my first post here, so let me know if I need to fix something. Anyways, I have a friend who is interested in signing up for World Venture and their vacation membership. I already explained to him that this is a very well known MLM venture (CoughCoughPyramidScheme), and got the general, "well, technically it's not because, etc.". He is taking another angle with this though. He is not interested in making a career from this, he just wants to go on "super cheap" vacations and is convinced that through using their points system, the membership will pay for itself.
He plans to sign 4 people up to waive his monthly fee, and stop signing people up after that. He doesn't want to use this as his job, but rather as the service that they supposedly provide. Am I wrong for saying that this is too good to be true or is he wrong for thinking this will work.
Let me know of any experiences you may have had with the company and also any experiences you have had using the services of a MLM. I will likely be showing him this page in an attempt to help him. I am not trying to put him down, just want to save him some money.
