hi all, i live in queens and don't want a car YET. having known 3 people who died or got severely injured in motorcycle or bike accidents, and having ms-related balance issues myself, i also wonder if there's some very safe, relatively inexpensive thing i could get to ride legally on the sidewalks, not giving a fig if i look like a total mo. (in the city, you can't ride on bikes on the sidewalks.) i saw a guy the other day driving an electric mobility scooter on the sidewalk and wonder has anyone done this? is it fun/worth it and a frugal option to getting a car - just to go on 10-20 minute rides?
