Sooo.. lets say theoretically I bought a stock where I thought it would recover. Lets say $18/stock. Then it tanked more over next couple days. Say to $10/stock. I'm predicting more tanking. So I sell at $10 then buy at the lower price because I still predict a recovery its just longer now.
So if I did that I would only be ahead the amount between what I sold for and the bottom price where I bought again and I'd still be out my loss, correct?
So I bought at 18. Sold at 10. Bought again at 5. Then it recovered to 18. I'd still be at a net loss but only a gain of $5, correct?
I'm asking because I'm thinking I should sell instead of taking all the loss and hope for the full recovery.
