Am I wrong if I think that Disney streaming service will generate a ton of cash for Disney?
Let's assume they do create a streaming service of comparable quality to Netflix. And let's assume they won't do any major fuck ups. Disney owns tons of franchises. They have so much quality content. I just can't imagine them not being must have for every family.
With the amount of content they have, I can imagine them having multiple packages - standard, sports, kids and some other subpackages. Each for some reasonable price comparable to netflix. Thats even more money than Netflix can bring - unless they fuck this up.
This will be a unpopular opinion, but I can see lots of people dropping Netflix in favour of Disney. The whole reason why people get Netflix is because of their huge library that contained almost everything. This library is slowly shrinking. Netflix tries to compensate this by creating a lot of their own series, but I personally feel that their shows usually lack enough quality. Yes there are few high quality shows, but not sure if thats enough to justify Neflix subscription, since you can just binge watch new series and unsub.
What do you guys think? Is Disney worth investing into because of their streaming plans?
