I'm planning a concrete patio extension and part of the project involves changing the level of the grade around the house. I have a plan already in place to build the retaining wall (natural boulders) and to secure the clean fill necessary. I'm trying to get everything sorted before bringing in the concrete crew so the site is fully prepped for them. The only part of the plan that I'm having trouble researching is how to properly prepare the section of exterior wall that will soon be below grade. Here's an outline of what I'm trying to achieve: http://ift.tt/2waX6B2 final image shows a red outline of the stucco area that will be below grade. All of the googling I've tried has failed to produce anything helpful. I'd appreciate any explanations or even links to useful resources.I'm sure the work will require removal of the stucco and some form of waterproof membrane. It may be necessary to pour a concrete wall here to prevent the fill from pressing in on the wall, which is wood framed. This is the part I can't find any resources about online.I hope this meets the submission guidelines. I have tried lots of searching but my google-fu is failing me. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2vE0keS
