I'm moving into an apartment and recently bought a TV and wall mount to put in my room. We used a stud finder and it showed that there were studs in the wall, but when we drilled it was only drywall. We used the stud finder in the same spot(s) at least ten times to confirm, and all three locations were drywall and nothing else. Now we're debating loading up on toggle bolts and just mounting the TV in the drywall, but that seems very risky. Can anyone explain why we have all these "ghost studs" and why my apartment doesn't seem to have any form of wooden stud in the walls? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2vYQndr
