A little back story- I work for a tech start up. Last month a few Net10 clients (ones that we have to send an invoice) didnt pay their invoices on time, so I basically I didnt get paid.

We have a meeting today. He wants to talk about offering me a percentage of what said company makes rather than my daily rate (1099) , possibly to avoid having that happen again.

I'd like to come at him with some kind of counter, but I don't know what % he is going to say yet. So far, I know that I would like back pay for August, to work from home except Mondays (when I took the gig years ago, it was because I could work from home and not in an office an hour away)..and... the percent. What do you all think is too low for him to go, or too high for me to ask for? Would 30 be reasonable? There are no other employees. We contract photographers as needed and whatnot.

Edit: to add that I feel like he thinks I'm as hyped about the company as he is.. but I'm not. I love it there and hope it goes well but I really just want to pay my rent.
