Note: I'm not buying shit. I have a paid off reliable old Toyota suv. Two of em actually.
So anytime someone asks on here can I afford this (Camaro mustang corvette wrx bmw Audi whatever shiny new car), 99% of the time everyone says no buy something cheaper. Yet you see these cars every day.
Are the people driving these "nice" cars all earning $150k+ or in debt up to their eyeballs?
I earn about $5k a month after taxes and would like to drive a nice vehicle like most people, but the financial aspect of it kills me. A new $30k car for example would be worth $15k in 3-4 years. My old Toyota was 10k and will be worth $10k in 3-4 years.
How do people stomach this depreciation? Am I just poor?
