So I am just back from a meeting with a financial advisor. He offers an investment with old mutual international. Fees would be 1.5% for the first 5 years. Investments would be made in what he calls various tracker funds. From the little I have read, I know that index funds would carry fees as low as 0.6%. However, my situation is weird, being an EU citizen that resides in the middle east. So I am wondering if I should just go ahead and set up this fund. Or maybe some of you knowledgeable people could advise me, because, in case it is not evident, I am new to this investing thing. If it makes any difference, I would be able to invest about 1000 usd per month. Thank you
Edit - the estimation I got is here http://ift.tt/2izq2fY
