A beginners' question if you don't mind: if I invest today $10.000 into an index fund, and just leave it there for 15 years, how much am I getting out after those 15 years.

I'm a total beginner, never afforded investing, so don't know anything about it. I don't really know what an index fund is, but that seems to be recommended in this sub as safe investments. I have $10.000 that I want my toddler to get when he turns 18. How much would I expect him to take out in 2033? How could I calculate/estimate this?
