I'm a young lawyer in DC and I work 50-65 hours per week. I see lots of stories of people who quit their jobs and/or travel extensively and/or live in tiny houses, but right now none of that's on my radar. I'm interested to hear from people who have a 9-5 (or the occasional 7-7, like me), corporate job and who have consciously simplified their lives. How did you do it? What areas of your life did you target? What trade-offs (living close to work vs. living in a more social/recreational area, eating out vs. cooking for yourself) did you make?
