While sales in its wireless business continue to shrink, the company managed to keep flat revenue with the help of its wireline business. Operating revenue in Q2 was flat at $30.5 bln. The telco reported net income of $4.36 bln, or $1.07 a share, compared with $702 mln, or $0.17 a share, a year-ago. It earned $0.96 a share on adj. basis. Revenue from the wireless business fell 1.9% to $21.3 bln, while wireline grew 1.2% to $7.8 bln. The Verizon Unlimited wireless plan brought back for the first time since 2011, drove retail postpaid connections in Q2.
