Hi everyone. I'd like some direction on what/where to purchase food vacuum bags. Buying retail just doesn't make much sense now that I have the cost broken down. The cheapest I can find retail is $0.40USD/ft for 8" bags and $0.50/ft for 11" bags. That kills almost any cost advantage I would get buying things like meat on sale.
I started doing a search on Google shopping, ebay, and amazon. It is somewhat overwhelming. The Ebay stuff seems to all come from China and since it is especially a food item, I worry about the quality controls and the material they are made from (not just what they say they are made from). I found a domestic company Uline which has better than retail prices, but I'm not sure it is the best deal out there.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.
