It's too complex to fit into society.
You can't have an economy where only the technically savvy people are the only ones to win. Because when there's an economic downturn, if the people at the top of society or bottom of society don't know how to pick up your shit and make rainbows and sunshine there's going to be problems.
Society will collapse relying on a system they do not understand remotely.
The advantage of the current system is that it's easy enough to operate that Ray Dalio can explain how it all fundamentally works as a whole in a short video. You can't do that with a crypto-currency based economy. It's literally madness trying to grasp how the production of crypto-currency works, and more complex in figuring out how it would fit in a leveraging system.
