I am 26, I have a base salary of $90,000 and normally around $15,000 in bonus at the end of the year. Currently have $2,000 in student loans left that will be paid off in a year and another $4K on my car loan. I am just Now putting away 12% to my 401K which is matched 5%. My Asset location is the following:

  • 401K (38K):

    10.5% - US Small Cap Equities

    20% International Equities

    43.8% US Large Cap Equities

    6% Real Estate

    11.3% Emerging Markets Equities

    4% Real Estate Investment Trust

    2.1% Bonds

    1.6% High Yield Bonds

    0.8% Emerging Market Bonds

  • Vanguard Funds: About $36K (depositing additional $200 month)

    VTSAX - 35%

    VQNPX - 38.5%

    VWELX - 12%

    VGHCX - 14.5%

  • Savings Account (APY 1.15%): $65,000 (depositing additional $1,000 a month on average, sometimes more) .

    I am looking for suggestions in regards to how I have allocated my assets? Any pointers or remarks to help improve?
