It's taken me a while, but I'm finally getting into the idea of real "personal finance". I'm 25 years old, living at home and after a series of major setbacks (and a once-in-a-lifetime family vacation, lol) I have finally gotten back on track by getting a casual job, making around $200p/w after my bills and expenses are accounted for (I also run a small business and do some freelance work, which I won't mention here because the money from both is still not quite consistent). It's not much, but I'm definitely not where I want to be career-wise just yet, so there's plenty of room for that to increase in the future. Current job is just a "for now" job to get myself going again.

The only current initiative I've taken, since I'm really only just looking into this, is the savings account that I've had for years, which has a bit of interest and no monthly fees. It's only just been repopulated with some money, and my income is going into that, but I'm looking to see what else I could be doing. I'm looking for advice on two things:

1) A good Mac/iOS personal finance app (I've heard of Mint, but is there better?) that will allow me to not only view and manage my money but also keep track of my expenses (maybe even receipts and whatnot for tax purposes).

2) Any other things I could be doing to try and "grow" my money. I've looked into the app Acorns for small investments, but I doubt that'll do more than add some pocket money. I'm just looking for small things I can do with my money.

Any advice would be massively appreciated!

EDIT 1: Should I be mentioning that I'm in Australia here? That might help with some stuff.
