I have a toytomi tid2400 AC unit for my garage. I don't have any windows in my garage, so I can't vent through a window. I installed a 4-in dryer exhaust vent with a 4-in flexible duct, but it's not big enough for the max 141cfm airflow that this unit can provide, and it keeps going into a defrost cycle and not cooling.I had duct-taped the duct to this exhaust duct adapter since the 4-in was too small. The adapter is just under 6-in in diameter. So, my plan now is to buy some insulated 6-in flexible duct. The problem is that I can't seem to find an exterior vent that will mate with the 6-in duct in stock unless it is designed to mount on the roof, or it's metal. Since I'm renting, I had to get permission for this and one of the conditions was it had to match the exterior (white). The only 6-in wall vent I can find in stock around me is this one. Is it paintable? What kind of spray-paint would work -- rustoleum?FWIW, I have a server rack in my garage, and this i my primary concern for heat. The garage is constantly 10-15ºF hotter than outside during the day. I also plan on adding some 1" thick foam insulation on my interior west-facing wallThanks via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tZUvZy
