My dad went blind a few years ago and he's always been a very active man, since he can no longer do many of the things that he used to (he still manages to do a lot), he likes to spend his time listening to the radio. I gave him a Sony shortwave radio for his birthday, but the thing didn't even last a year, now I know I could try and find someone to fix it, but my dad is already disappointed in how things are made these days, and I'd like to buy him something of better quality. I've been searching on ebay and amazon and found some options. There are the new Grundig radios but I doubt their quality since they are no longer made in Germany, and apparently is not even the same company anymore. The brand Eton seems to be ok, but I don't have much information about it. There's also the option of buying a vintage radio and I think that might be the better option, there are some good old radios from the eighties that seem to be in good condition. I would appreciate if someone could give me some advice. Sorry if my grammar is wrong, English is not my first language.
