I've read through a bunch of the backpack threads here but have yet to find what I'm looking for. I really like the look of the Herschel Little America bag but am hesitant to spend $100 on a backpack that I don't trust the quality of. So first question I guess is, does anyone have a Little America backpack? How's it holding up? How do you like it.
Someone in one of the other backpack threads recommended the Burton Tinder (denim), which seemed like a great option for me but I can't seem to find it near me and it's way overpriced on Amazon.
So here are my requirements:
-proper two shoulder strap backpack (no slings or messenger bags)
-similar vintage/rucksack style to a Herschel (I really like the asthetic of the two straps on the front)
-mid sized. Not too big. The 17L is what I was eyeing. Not the 25L
-I'm a girl, so not too masculine. I'm not really a girly girl so frills and bows are not necessary haha, but nothing super manly either please.
-comfortable to wear
-well made (obviously)
-neutral colour palette (black, grey, chocolate brown, navy, cream)
-Minimalistic design
-must be available for purchase in Canada or online with reasonable shipping
-max $100. Ideally less ($60 or so would be amazing)
-Vegan friendly. No textiles derived from animals (leather, suede, wool, beeswax etc are completely off limits) Canvas, cotton, denim, faux leather are all great.
I'd like to use this as somewhat of an everyday pack. I honestly hate carrying a purse as I find it pointless. Anything that fits in a purse could easily fit in my jean pockets (phone, keys, money), and anything that I may actually need with me (notebook, headphones, water bottle, food) will not fit in a purse. I do drive but I'd like to be able to do some light shopping via bike or skateboard and be able to ride home hands free. I'd like to not need grocery bags on small shopping trips.
Suggestions welcome!
Thanks!
