I'm trying to sell a minifridge and there is this weird sweet, vanilla/cream smell. At first I thought it was a freon leak, but the back says it uses R134a (Tetrafluaraethene), not Freon, and tetrafluarethene is odorless. There previously had been a couple a few non-milk dairy products in there that had expired but were very cold. Perhaps that is the source? Moreover, wouldn't it have stopped cooling things a long time ago had there been a leak?I have two questionsAm I correct in assuming this is not a leak/hazardous smell? What can I do to get rid of the smell? (Baking soda doesn't seem to cut it)EDIT: I should add that there is a small crack at the bottom of the floor, but that smell has been there awhile. If it were a gas leak wouldn't it have stopped working a long time ago? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tp6Y48
