Hey everyone, I'm trying to buy a car and was hoping you all could tell me if this situation has a high chance of being a scam. The seller is selling for a lot below market value because they are in military training, about to be deployed. They are selling through EBay's buyer protection program and are on a military base so I can't look at the car but supposedly can return it hassle free for five days. This gives me time to get it to a mechanic and have it looked over so I'm hoping this is a good deal. Does anyone have any red flags I should be aware of?
EDIT: so I followed up with the lady. She's selling the car because it was her husbands and he died 4 months ago. I have her my number so we could text instead of email, but she is phone restricted on the base. I can't see the car because it's in the custody of the Military Logistics Department
EDIT EDIT: googling "military logistics department" brings up the scam template. Thanks guys
