I have an opportunity for my dream job coming up. There is one potentially massive hurdle though. The only health plan it offers is through Kaiser.
My problem is, I have a chronic illness that is being treated by a specialist at University of Colorado (not Kaiser). I have been seeing this doctor for almost 15 years now and losing his care is not an option.
If you are on a Kaiser plan, is it possible to see doctors outside of the network? If so, how does it work? Or should I just not even consider positions where Kaiser is the only option?
Any advice about how to handle this?
