Since I started living on my own, I have never paid for any of these.
I canceled cable and Netflix because it's a waste of money. Cable companies rob you blind for a pathetic selection of channels. Netflix (at least the Canadian one) never updates their library.
Music I have always downloaded. I take the YouTube link and then download it through a website. If I need a particular software, I'll download it as well. Downloading photoshop and MS office during college saved me money.
