I need to disclaim some funds I would otherwise be inheriting so that they can go back to the Estate to settle outstanding debts. These funds are with Vanguard.
I submitted the paperwork they gave me and that is all in order but I also need to write up a document specifically disclaiming the funds by account number. The agent I've been dealing with was unable to give me a "blueprint" but said what I write up must include the account numbers and their reference number.
The Estate is already in the red, I don't want to pay the lawyer another $250 to do this simple task if I can avoid it and I need to get this settled soon.
I'm in NY and another sibling in MA has to submit a similar document for their shares. Any suggestions?
