I have Xfinity for the past year and they increased my rate by $25 (I had promo for phone/internet $50/month). So I'm looking for advice - I would like to upgrade my modem/wifi w/telephony (currently have Arris TG862. I was thinking of Motorola Model MB8600, got really good reviews on Amazon, but doesn't have telephony. It seems not too many cable/modems have it. So I was thinking of using Ooma or Vonage or ?? I haven't used these at all & just need a home phone for the kids. I also have AT&T in my area but they don't provide internet telephone service. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
