I got my license on September of last year, so my parents decided they wanted to "help" me buy a car. About a week later they come home with a 2009 Nissan Versa, a car which I had no say in. (They only went to one dealership, which was a place for bad credit. They have good credit.) I figured they were just going to get a cheap temporary car while I save up some money. Then they then tell me I owe $150 a month, so I get a full time job. After I have been paying them for 6 months I decide I had to ask them how long the payment was for. They proceed to tell me the payment is for 6 YEARS, and I'm shocked by it. By this time I already had $8,000 saved up (enough for a decent car?) and was proud of myself, but realized that I owe almost $10,000 on this hunk of shit. I then try explaining to my mom that I feel this car is a financial burden, and she immediately tells me I'm ungrateful. I tried explaining a bunch of stuff to her and she just ignored it all. The stuff I told her was the payment isn't benefitting my credit score, the car is definitely not worth 11k, and also how its unfair my sister got a car for free. What should I do about this situation, am I the one who is in the wrong?
