Long story short, my lease is up. I have two options. I found a place that is $630/mo which is kind of short of average in my low cost city. Or I can have a roommate for $300/mo.
I've never had a roommate before and I'm not sure what I'm getting myself into. Now my potential roommate is a coworker. We've known each other for about 8 months and he's cool. But he's also living with his girlfriend and we haven't really interacted with each other much.
So I'm saving $300 by rooming.
Or I can live by myself. The biggest benefit of course is completely freedom. But this is the more costly option as I would have to get a few pieces of furniture.
I've been living by myself (after graduating) for the past year and like the freedom. But I'm not sure if it's worth it to save a few bucks.
