Hi DIY! We are replacing our carpet with lino tiles (we have a small budget) and we are stuck with what to do with the existing tile/carpet transisiton. The transition has a stumped I cross section (not T) where the tiles and carpet feed into the sides of transition. The transition is glued to the concrete floorIf we feed the new lino tiles into the transition as the carpet was we are left with an unwanted gap as the lino is thinner than the carpetWhat would you do?Underlay the lino tiles to raise the level?Fill the gap between the lino tile and the transition with sealant?Chisel at the transition to remove It? (At the risk of damaging the ceramic tiles)We would really appreciate any input you have. Will try to get an image uploaded asapThanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tVza2k
