My landlord is leaving the country for a few months and wants me to look after one other property as well as my residence. He asked what I would charge for a retainer fee to be on call for approximately 3 months in case anything goes wrong at the other property, but I honestly have no idea what is reasonable for this. I'm not a professional handyman, but am no stranger to that kind of work.
The property is very close to my current residence so it's not really an inconvenience. He'd also pay me an hourly rate for any repairs and basic maintenance needed.
